In the Research article by Hutchinson et al. Exploring patients’ and carers’ experiences, understandings and expectations of COPD exacerbations: an interview study, BJGP Open 2025; DOI: https://doi.org/10.3399/BJGPO.2024.0026, Figure 1 incorrectly included ‘environment’ as a factor in the subjective experience of living with chronic breathlessness. This should not have been included as it was outside of the scope of the article’s findings.
