- SAPC welcomes BJGP Open
The Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC) welcomes the launch of the new BJGP Open.
SAPC is working with RCGP to develop new initiatives around supporting GP Scholarship. Recognising general practice as an inherently intellectual discipline;1 enhancing opportunities to develop and share scholarly activities;2 and so contribute to making a career in general practice attractive to students and newly qualified doctors,3 and of ongoing appeal to GPs at all career stages.
Innovative features in the new journal — including extended case reports and perhaps the critical discussion of ‘blue sky thinking’4 — provides a welcome new opportunity for GPs to develop and share scholarly ideas. We very much look forward to working with both GPs and the new journal to explore these further. Welcome, BJGP Open!
